Fast track update for feed barley

As harvest progresses, CBH has identified variations in the quality profile of barley across the network.

To help manage these conditions, CBH will turn off the Fast Track option for feed barley (BFED) at receival sites offering this service, effective from COB on Tuesday 5 November 2024.

If growers have received Fast Track for loads prior to COB on Tuesday 5 November 2024, they can still deliver the following day. CBH will not introduce any Fast Track services at any other sites until further notice.

CBH may introduce BFEDX segregations at certain sites across the state as harvest progresses.

It is critical for CBH to understand the barley quality profile in order to meet market requirements and maximise grower value.

There may be opportunities where Fast Track is used for other commodities eg lupins. CBH will advise where and when this comes in to play.
