Grain quality
CBH is committed to quality assurance and food safety across the supply chain and actively manages this before, during and after harvest.
Australian Grains Centre
Located alongside the Metro Grain Centre in Forrestfield, the Australian Grains Centre (AGC) has the capability to provide full laboratory analysis for Western Australian produced grains.
AGC has become a focal point for research and intelligence in grain quality, holding NATA accreditation to the AS ISO/IEC 17025 standard under the international laboratory management system framework.
We implement and maintain accreditation for ISO9001 (Quality Management System) and HACCP Codex (Food Safety).
AGC is also a Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) Biosecurity registered and Quarantine Approved premises (Quarantine Containment Level 2).
A detailed list of services and prices are available on request.

Genetically Modified Canola Management
The segregation of Genetically Modified (GM) Canola from Non-GM Canola remains extremely important due to market and customer requirements.
It’s important to ensure the integrity of Non-GM canola stacks during harvest. Non-GM Canola (CAN1/CAN2) is acceptable to receive into GM Canola (CAG1/CAG2) service. GM Canola cannot be accepted into a Non-GM Canola service.
When delivering to CBH via the CDF App:
- Ensure the variety is declared correctly.
- GM varieties will be listed with a “(GMO)” label
- Follow all receival site instructions in regard to GM Canola sampling and grid discharge.
When delivering to CBH via the paper CDF:
- Ensure the variety is declared correctly in the variety section.
- Ensure the “Tick box for GM” box is ticked.
- Follow all receival site instructions in regard to GM Canola sampling and grid discharge.
If you do not declare a GMO variety or elect not to tick the GM box on the CDF, you are warranting to CBH that the grain delivered is free of GM material (minimum of 99.1% purity). All loads of Non-GM Canola will be tested for the presence of GM material post-delivery.
For any seed testing for the presence of GM material enquiries please contact the Australian Grains Centre.
