Applications open for 2025 Grass Roots Leadership Short Course
9/12/2024
Delivered by the renowned Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the University of WA Business School’s Executive Education, this highly regarded course is designed for people living and working in regional WA who want to develop their leadership skills and become more effective, influential, and engaging leaders.
As part of CBH’s Community Investment Fund, the short course is split into two 2-day sessions scheduled for 10-11 March and 23-24 June 2025, running concurrently in Mullewa and Ravensthorpe.
Each year, the short course alternates between port zones to provide as many growers as possible with the opportunity to build their leadership skills.
Throughout the course, participants will explore authentic and resilient leadership, build confidence and tools for effective communication, learn conflict resolution techniques, and develop strategies to engage others in change.
Here’s what our 2024 participants had to say about the course:
“The program has been helpful in my current role and workplace already. I am really looking forward to implementing these things further. These leaders did a great job of making everyone involved and creating an easy learning environment.”
“Both facilitators over this course provided engaging, informative, and interactive training. Enjoyed all the differences in people and perspectives.”
“Great course that has given me useful strategies and real-life experiences to relate and learn from.”
The course is heavily subsidised by CBH, covering all course materials, accommodation, meals, and facilitation. Participants are required to contribute a $400 fee and cover their own travel costs.
Applications are open until 19 January 2025.
