Harvest Report - 4 November 2024

4/11/2024

The pace of harvest picked up significantly this week with more than 1.5 million tonnes added to the receivals total.

CBH Chief Operations Officer Mick Daw said that most sites that are going to open this year are now receiving grain, as growers make the most of good harvesting conditions.

"We have received a total of 2,120,600 tonnes across the CBH network, with 1,555,100 tonnes of those received in the past week," Mr Daw said.

"As expected, harvest progressed much quicker last week, although some areas were delayed on Friday 1 November with extreme heat and winds causing harvest bans.

"The Esperance Zone also experienced delays due to rainfall over the weekend.

"We will continue to keep growers updated on sites and service availability, including temporary closures due to weather, using the CDF app during harvest.

"Growers and transporters should ensure they have downloaded the latest version of the CDF app and have site notifications and Bluetooth turned on for best performance.

"Finally, as at the start of every harvest, I'd also like to encourage growers to thoroughly check all equipment for contaminants prior to use. This will help prevent delays both at CBH and on-farm."
