West Australians generous support helps RFDS WA

Last Tuesday we supported Flying Doctor Day 2022, a celebration of the anniversary of the first ever RFDS lifesaving mission 94 years ago on 17 May 1928 and the lasting legacy of founder Reverend John Flynn.

Our friends at the RFDS WA wanted to give CBH growers and employees a big shout out! 

RFDS WA CEO, Rebecca Tomkinson said " We are so thankful to the WA community for celebrating our special day by donating to our 24-hour Flying Doctor Day fundraising appeal, sharing your Flying Doctor stories on social media and purchasing our iconic Flying Doctor socks, with landmarks across WA lighting up in red and blue on 17 May". 

With your help, Flying Doctor Day raised $850,473, far exceeding their original target of $600,000. 

With a third Rio Tinto LifeFlight PC-24 jet and two Fortescue Heli-Med EC-145 helicopters introduced into service in the last year, funds raised will be used to purchase vital medical equipment to equip their expanded fleet and help them continue to save lives.
