New Youth MHFA Trained in York
Congratulations to the eleven newly trained Youth Mental Health First Aiders!
Community members and staff from the York District High School came together last week to become accredited to assist youth who may need mental health support.
One participated said "It's given me confidence to talk with kids about their mental health and is by far the most useful professional development I've done in my teaching career.”
The training is a part of our Regional Mental Health Program, to date the program has enabled 51 regional community members to become accredited, delivered by project partner Mental Illness Fellowship of WA (MIFWA).
