The CBH Group sponsors room number 305 at the Ronald McDonald House located in Perth. These funds assist the RMH to continue to maintain the room to a high standard and meet the needs of the regional families spending time away from home.
When families have to travel far from home to obtain specialist medical care for their sick child, securing accommodation in an unfamiliar place adds to their stress and anxiety. It can also add enormous financial pressure to families already stretched to the limit by medical bills and associated costs. Ronald McDonald House helps ease that pressure by providing accommodation to families at no cost near their child’s hospital for as long as they need it – days, weeks, months or years. Though there is no place like home, Ronald McDonald House strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment where the whole family can stay together for the duration of their child’s treatment.
The house can accommodate 47 families, this also includes two specifically designed isolation units. The CBH Group also supports the RMH through the Harvest Mass Management Scheme supporting the RMH Learning Program, which assists seriously ill children and their siblings to continue their education while away from school. The house has a specifically designed learning room for the program, the only RMH house in the world to have their very own Learning Room!
